[ 24.7.26 | the usefulness of a personal website ]
abolish modern day internet!!
Ever since starting a website, it's taken up pretty much all
of my time.
I think the internet has regressed since indie web stopped
being a mainstream thing. The 2000s and spacehey was
probably the golden era of the internet, because nobody
(including me) used the internet for doomscrolling and
wasting away on a screen.
Not to mention that learning HTML is a useful transferrable
skill. It's something that opens up gateways to learning
other forms of code and understanding computing language.
It's a pursuit that feels productive, and is productive.
More people should be getting into indie web!
I've been showing neocities and websites to a lot of people
who I think might like it. Showing off my websites to my
Instagram is also in the hopes that I recruit maybe a few
more people to start their own website. It truly feels like
it belongs to people when everyone customises their little
web corner and makes it their own. It's crazy to imagine
that there's a billion more people with a billion more sites
of their own that I've never even heard of. It's like
space!!!
I genuinely think everyone should have their own website. it
would be awesome to see that (*´ω`*)~♪
