My brain has been so bad at working lately... today was my 6th driving lesson maybe.. or If I've done more I don't remember that either. I've been quite good at driving on main roads now and my instructor said I drove pretty well today too, but oh my GOSH was the start terrible....

Instead of easing off my break when driving off, I let go completely and turned my wheel too much. Since I live on a hill my car was basically plastered sideways on the main road. I panicked a bit while trying to set off again but all was well afterwards.

One thing I've noticed is that I'm always constantly clarifying for directions on the main road. If we pass a traffic light I always have to double check I'm still going straight. I have to double check with my instructor A LOT if I'm turning right or left. When i stopped clarifying, I almost went the wrong way and she had to quickly grab me and redirect the wheel. But still, I guess other than that she was pretty happy with my progress.

There was a really annoying guy who overtook us at a traffic light even though we had right of way. I almost crashed into him because he thought he knew better to drive into me after the light went green.

To conclude: If my instructor tells me to move onto the right lane, she doesn't mean the right side of the road... she means the right lane on a one-way. Do not turn, silly goose.
